The Mary Mary Quilt has been designed by Helen Stubbings of Hugs ‘n Kisses, and features fabrics from her Molly & May fabric collection. It is the 2026 Block of the Month program, which begins on 1st May 2026.
The Mary Mary quilt uses techniques such as embroidery, appliqué, and machine piecing. Helen uses her EasyAPP method throughout with custom iron-on leave-in paper templates that can be stitched by hand or machine.
The look is soft and pretty and would be wonderful in any room.

Mary Mary has been one of the gentlest quilts Helen has ever designed—simple, pretty blocks with whimsical stitchery and easy appliqué. It’s a quilt designed to give confidence and quiet moments of making.
This quilt brings together Helen’s signature softer palette, nostalgic florals, and gentle stitchery illustrations—perfect if you love a mix of embroidery, appliqué, and approachable machine piecing.
Every block is achievable, methodical, and supported with full-size templates and clear diagrams. The EasyAPP iron-on papers mean no tracing, no guessing, and no fiddling—just smooth, accurate appliqué.
Helen will also be supporting the program by demonstrations each month on her Thursday night Live@7withhelen on Facebook and YouTube.
