This pattern gives detailed instructions for 7 different chickens, a
chick, and 4 flowers. All blocks are traditionally pieced.
The chicken
sampler quilt is fat quarter and fat eighth friendly and works best with
small-scale, tone-on-tone, and solid fabrics.
The pattern is divided into the following sections:
- Cutting instructions for background and basic chicken body parts
- Piecing instructions for basic chicken parts (combs, beaks, legs, backs, heads, etc
- Piecing instructions for the interior chicken quilt blocks
- Piecing instructions for the chicks
- Cutting instructions for all the flower pieces
- Piecing instructions for the leaf and stem units
- Piecing instructions for the flower heads
- Cutting instructions for the background spacing and sashing strips
