A little bit about Fabric Pixie

Fabric Pixie has been one of Australia's go-to online destinations for premium patchwork and quilting fabrics since 2011. We're a family-run business based in Goonellabah, NSW, with a passionate small team who takes real pride in what we do.

We stock an extensive range of designer fabrics from world-renowned brands including Riley Blake, Moda, Tilda, Freespirit, Robert Kaufman, and Devonstone Collection — and we're known for fast, reliable dispatch and a genuine love of the craft.

Our warehouse team is at the heart of everything. Behind every order we send out is someone in Australia, or around the world, excited to start their next project — and your care and attention to detail makes that happen.

Why work with us?

Varied, hands-on work

From cutting and kitting fabric to dispatching orders and receiving new stock, there's always something different to do.

A friendly team

We're a small, family-run business and that shows in the way we work together. You'll be a valued part of the team from day one, not just another hire.

Fast-paced & purposeful

We take real pride in dispatching orders quickly. Your work directly impacts customers across Australia and around the world — that's genuinely satisfying.

Fair pay

$33.95/hr inclusive of casual loading under the General Retail Industry Award 2020, plus 12% superannuation.

Great hours

Preferred days — Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. 9am to 5pm.

Love of fabric? A big bonus

If sewing or quilting is already your thing, you'll feel right at home. If not, you'll quickly find out why so many people love it!

Frequently asked questions

Do I need experience with sewing or quilting?

Not at all — it's a bonus if you do, but it's not a requirement. No sewing is required in this role, what matters most is attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Previous experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided. Accurate cutting is important to us, so we'll make sure you're confident before you work independently.

What computer experience do I need?

A solid level of computer literacy is required. You'll be using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word (mail merge), and website-based order fulfilment tools. Experience with eCommerce platforms and Australia Post eParcel is an advantage.

Is this role likely to grow into more hours?

The current role is three days per week. Additional hours may become available over time based on staff leave and business needs.
